RAII deadlines and intake dates

Each agency opens and closes its own intake. Below are the dates we have confirmed from agency pages. Where an agency has not published a window, we say so rather than guess.

Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario)

  • Intake opened. Applications accepted for businesses and organizations.
  • Apply by this date if your project and its eligible costs start before March 31, 2027.
  • Intake closes. Projects cannot start before this date, and costs incurred before it are not eligible.

Confirm on FedDev Ontario's page

Other regions

ISED notes that intake opening dates vary by agency. Check the agency page for your region for its current status:

Planning backwards from a deadline

Agency applications are long. For a first-time applicant, a realistic preparation runs four to six weeks:

  1. Read the application guide and confirm eligibility (a few days).
  2. Define the project, its outcomes and its end date (one week).
  3. Build the fiscal-year budget by cost category and line up matching funds (one to two weeks).
  4. Gather incorporation records, team bios, job list and any IP or investor documents (one week, often longer if documents are stale).
  5. Draft, review with a signing officer, and submit (one week).

If you are aiming for the November 24, 2026 cutoff in Southern Ontario, that means starting now.

We update this page when an agency publishes or changes a date. Get a short email when that happens.
